Abbas Rabiee (PhD), received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, in September 2006, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical power engineering from Sharif University of Technology (SUT), Tehran, in September 2008 and February 2013, respectively. In March 2013, he joint to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of University of Zanjan, Zanjan, Iran, as an Assistant Professor. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at this department. Dr Rabiee is a Senior Member of the IEEE since July 2018, and he is also an Associate and Subject Editor of IET GTD.

  • 3-Professional Experiences
    1. 2008–2009: He was with Moshaver-Niroo Consulting Engineers Co. (in Tehran, Iran), which is one of the most important consulting engineers in Iran for design and engineering and consultancy services. The project entitled "Retrofitting the old excitation systems of power station of Tehran oil refining company".
    2. 2009-2010: He collaborated with the Niroo Research Institute (NRI), in Tehran, Iran in the project entitled "Loss allocation and reduction techniques of Hormozgan Regional Electric Company".
    3. 2012-2013: He collaborated with the Tavanir Inc in Tehran, Iran in the project entitled "Emergency voltage control of Iran national transmission grid".
    4. 2014-2016: He was the project manager of a research project entitled "Optimal DG planning in distribution network of Alborz considering technical, economical and environmental parameters" for Alborz Electric Power Distribution Company in Karaj, Iran.
    5. 2017: He is served as a technical consultant of Zanjan Electricity Distribution Company, for "distributed generations (DGs)" in Zanjan, Iran.
    6. Currently, he is working a research project for Guilan Regional Electric Company (in Rasht, Iran), entitled "Feasibility Analysis of using FACTS Devices for Optimal Power Flow in Guilan Regional Electric Company with the Aim of Transmission and Sub-transmission Lines’ Load Balancing ", Guilan, Iran.
